Cuban Spanish 101 is a must for anyone looking to fit in in Cuba. . . lest you be confused for a ‘palestino!’ As a Costa Rican Spanish speaker, some of the slang words were similar, but many surprised me. I’m going to Cuba for a cultural experience in 2017, and I’m very glad I came across this guide. Every Latin American country is a little different, and Cuba especially has been restricted from USA tourists for quite some time.Each slang term comes with a list of synonyms in proper Spanish so you can get a better feel for the tone and meaning of the word. The formatting, examples in English and Spanish, and highlighted ‘vulgar’ terms make this guide extremely easy to read and navigate. You can very quickly spot the words that maybe you don’t want to use in polite conversation (como ‘chocha!’)Since every Latin American country has its own accent, I would also recommend popping over to cubanspanish101.com to get a feel for how Cuban Spanish sounds. CubanSpanish101 is an audio course featuring dialogues between native Cuban Spanish speakers. If you were raised in the USA and taught in schools there, you might have some trouble understanding the accent, and this is a good way to become at least accustomed before you go! Very useful book for anyone who is looking to travel to Cuba and wants to learn and understand how Cubans speak.

I don't know who these people are who wrote these other reviews but this book it horrible! Nothing useful. I sent it back. I don't need to be able to tell someone they are a snitch and how to find a prostitute! Horrible book!

This is total garbage!

Mainly a bunch of curse words. Wasn't helpful in communicating with average people. No commonly used phrases that we could use.

This is a great resource for students and adventurers traveling to Cuba. The format is very easy to follow – all the words are listed in alphabetical order. It’s user friendly like a dictionary. And with Kindle, all the words and their meanings are easily searchable. It seems like most of the words are either words that you’ll need to know as a tourist, or slang to memorize so you’re “in the know”. There are also really helpful phrases or sentences to help you fit right in. There are 125 entries, and all of them are great to know. Most of the words have the gender and part of speech, and many have examples of how to use the words correctly in context. So, reading this book will give you some ready-made sentences to fit right in. I wouldn’t substitute this for a travel dictionary, but this is a great buy for hitting the streets of Cuba with a bit of flare that a class room would leave out.

I have a Cuban-American co-worker that I joke around with all of the time, and I'm not familiar with Spanish – or Cuban Spanish for that matter – even though I live in Colorado where we have a high Mexican population. I've always been aware that the dialects and colloquialisms are different between Mexican Spanish, Puerto Rican Spanish, and Cuban Spanish, so I wanted to learn random Cuban sayings that I could say to my co-worker during the day. I found this eBook while browsing through Kindle Unlimited books and thought I'd give it a shot. At first I thought it was going to be some dry instructional eBook, but I was quite amused to see that it's full of random slang and vulgar phrases.When the weather is bad outside or if there is some sort of semi-ominous event, I say to him, “Traje cerveza, porsia.” The first time I did that, he just about died laughing. He was quite surprised that I had taken the initiative to learn some Cuban phrases. Anyhow, I have the Kindle app on my phone, so I can keep this little book handy and look up different phrases throughout the day.

Really great book! Enjoyed reading through it and learning some of the local language. Looking forward to my next trip to Cuba so I can put some of it to use!

I love this adult coloring book The pictures are big and has a lot of coloring options

I like to color in my personal time and when I feel stressed so I have many different coloring books. However, this one made me excited to purchase and it spoke to me. I can't wait to purchase more, I think I'm going to get a few more for the ladies in my family because we can relate! Cant wait to get more!

Been coloring in this book while recouping from foot & ankle surgeries. It's really fun coloring pages that take me back to the earlier stages of my childhood! Simpler, colorful times. Definitely recommend this for anyone young & old to ease their mind!

It’s just not well drawn or interesting. I keep coloring books around for when we are stuck in the house and most help pass the time. This one is dull.

I was expecting A LOT more from this book, especially with the title "anything and everything you could possibly say at the altar - and then some". There were very few examples, even fewer useable ones. Waste of money!!There is a much better book available called The Wedding Ceremony Planner by Reverend Judith Johnson. It has hundreds of suggestions throughout for the different parts of the ceremony. It was much more helpful!

google people. 3/4 of the book is merely quotes. quotes you can find online FOR FREE. If you really want to look at this book go to the library and glance through it. I promise you won't even bother checking it out. If you do chances are you're going to forget about it behind the chouch and then you'll have to pay late fees for a book that did NOTHING to help you plan your wedding.save your money for your wedding.

This book was not as helpful as I thought it would be. I was looking for nice quotes about love that I could use on my wedding day. This book has a large section of quotes but none of them were all that great. The book gives advice on how to write your own vows but not enough examples. Not a terrible book but not as helpful as it could be.

I didn't find this book to be anything special. There wasn't anything in the book that I couldn't find for free over the net. We found that the person who marries you will already have a wide selection of things to choose from.

This wasn't at all what I thought it would be and it isn't very good in the way of vows of course this is only my opinion.

Title is deceptive, be warned. The book's beginnings might be helpful to some, to write their own ceremony, then vastly full of quotes that your officiant may use, but probably not to say in a vow.

It's great as a quick reference - easy to flip through to find just what you are looking for.

I like the format, Ilile the way it flows great job , easy to understand and to follow.
