This series is everything I wanted and more. I highly recommend for any deadpool or spiderman fan. I read it in one afternoon. I could not put it down. I am a huge Spideypool fan and even though I doubt we'll ever get a real romance with these two I am willing to take whatever scraps the creators are willing to toss us fangirls.

Marvel finally decided to make a Spider-Man-Deadpool team up comic. This collects issues #1-5 and 8. It was only natural that this would come about. Deadpool often talked about how much he liked Spidey and the two both like talking. At the same time Peter Parker can’t stand Wade Wilson so they make an odd couple. The basis of this collection is that Pool is trying to be a better person and decides to hang out with Spider-Man to improve himself. At the same time he wants to kill Peter Parker because he thinks he’s a greedy businessman not knowing Parker’s secret identity. Wilson even reveals his daughter Ellie to Parker and Spider-Man thinks he can reclaim a lost soul.In the process they go through a whole bunch of random bad guys. They make one liners at each other. Things get blown up. People get stabbed. You know the business. Wilson even tries to set Spidey up with a blind date which blows up in their faces. It’s fun and inane at the same time.

Well there is 3 things about this tradeI don't like so I'll just get them out of the way immediately.1. It starts with the 1st five issues then jumps to issue 8 which when I read the synopsis, I didn't think it would bother me because im not a fan of Deadpool or the current status Dan Slott has put Spider-Man in as billionaire Tony Stark/Bruce Wayne rip-off. Once I finished the 5th issue and skipped issues 6 & 7 because Marvel decided to leave them out anyway even though on the back of the book they give you the idea those stories are included I got frustrated going to issue 8. I don't buy single issues from Marvel because the prices for their single issues are ridiculous especially when you compare them to what DC is doing, so didnt know what stories were contained in each issue of this trade. Missing out on those 2 chapters of this series did bother me a little because now im left wondering what happened in them, im guessing they'll put them in the next trade or leave them out of the trades altogether just like what happened with Rick Remender's Venom series which has kept me from picking them up.2. Spider-Man he's my favorite character Marvel has and Deadpool is one of the characters they have I dislike the most but I like him way more than Spidey in this book. Peter Parker/Spider-Man comes off as a total knob when interacting with Deadpool save for one section when Deadpool gets him a date but that's the only part I found Spidey as an enjoyable character. I assume Joe Kelly is writing Spider-Man that way because he's not a fan of the current version of Spider-Man either and is jabbing at editorial for turning him into a turd.3. The dialogue left me scratching my head a lot, when the 2 heroes would speak with each other. it would start off well then suddenly hit a brick wall and the dialogue would just leave you hanging. Maybe its just the character of Deadpool and how he is written that im not used to reading or the writer should have spent a little extra time going over his work. Whatever the case this could have been done better. Now what I likeThe artwork was great and it was the first time I actually read something Ed McGuinness has done the art for and id love to see more of his work in conjunction with Spider-Man in the future once the character is being handled better in the main Spider-Man book. While I feel that Spider-Man sucked in this book Im glad Joe Kelly highlighted how much of a snob he is in it reflecting what I think of him in the Amazing Spider-Man series and I give him credit for making me care WAY more for Deadpool. While I have problems with the dialogue it was a fun book until the end when they skip over Issues 6 & 7 and go straight to 8 instead, i'm probably going to grab the next trade assuming those missing issues are included in that one. If you like current Spider-Man and the Deadpool character id say pick it up, or even if you despise the current interpretation of Spider-Man and want to see him be shown in a negative light while interacting with a character who just wants to be his friend pick it up, Maybe this series will be the one to make me enjoy Deadpool as a character, I certainly liked him better in this than I did my favorite superhero.

I'm not a fan of spiderman, and I can only tolerate small amounts of deadpool at a time, yet I loved this book. Basically the plot is that deadpool decreases he wants to be spiderman friend, after an incident in uncanny avengers where spiderman leaves the team over deadpool being a member. This book is hilarious, and is one of the only times I've really found spiderman funny. Each of them gets roughly sequel panel time, so it it really is a good team up story. I'm not sure how long this idea can go on without getting played out, but i would highly recommend this volume.

Product itself is absolutely amazing - improper packaging, however caused it to come stuffed into my mailbox. I've spent a week trying to get the huge crease out of it. If I'd bought it used, I'd be more understanding, but purchasing a new comic book, this is a little ridiculous.

Deadpool and Spiderman... And the Merc with the mouth honestly cares about someone else? Fantastic! Unless Wade is crazier than usual, his confession that he's actually concerned with Spiderman's state of mind is, well, mind-blowing.Five stars and worth every one.

This book is fun. Spider-Man and Deadpool are the friends that shouldn't be friends but somehow are. I was pulled into the story from the beginning, and I can't wait to see where things go in volume 2.

Deadpool and Spiderman make an excellent duo. They both have a snarky sense of humor and kick lots of bad guy tail. Deadpool's unabashed mancrush on Spiderman never fails to entertain. Overall it's a good series.

What happened? How can an author who writes well crafted stories with such detail and believable plots end a series on such a sour note? I have read some excellent books written by the author, but this is the second time in ending a series the author has failed to write an engaging, in-depth and plausible novel. Why is it that the other books were focused on the plot, the in-depth plethora of possibilities and then add such nonsense without having any direction or meaning of a tale?I don’t like reading books that throw in such sexual stuff and tons of foul language in the first place, and most of the books David has written don’t include this type of stuff. So why does he add a bunch of it to the last book on top of such a weak and directionless ending? If the author has one Achilles heel, it is not knowing how to wrap up his characters like in the other novels with an intriguing plot. I love the Memory Man series he has written! With another installment due out April 2018, I just am hoping he doesn’t try to end the series with a novel sub-par like he has in End Game and his John Puller series where the ending was horrible too.Normally, I don’t write reviews if I don’t like a book. Authors work hard to put forth stories their followers will enjoy and share with friends. However, with two series ending below standards or hopes for readers, I write this with the hope the author will do a much better job with future endeavors when he decides the character’s time is up.

I have read all Baldacci’s books and loved Will but this book made me question who really wrote it. It could have been written 20 years ago because although they had all the resources of the CIA & FBI, they used no technology (ok, a satellite once). A drone would have solved most of their problems but then there would have been no point to this silly little book. I saw then ending coming but really didn’t care.

If I could have, I wouldn't have given it even one star. Worse book I have ever read by David Baldacci. Unbelievable plots and unbelievable characters. Hated it!

No. Who really wrote this trash? I love Baldacci's books, but this is a childish, unbelievable mash of nonsense. Either Baldacci simply lost it, or some junior D quality writer put this together and anyone who spends money on this is being robbed.

Formulaic and unbelievable. I know we're supposed to suspend disbelief when reading this type of book, but c'mon! Spoiler alert. I'm going to hide a clue for my potential rescuers. I draw an arcane figure that will be close to impossible to figure out. In the minute I take to draw the figure I could have just written the name of the site and drawn a map. Ridiculous. Likewise, I have a multi-million dollar illegal operation and need to protect it from federal and local agents. I've taken them captive, but instead of just killing them, I keep one captive for weeks and then I decide to let them all go so I can hunt them down. And just like in a cheesy horror movie, we can all predict who is going to die during the great escape.I'm done with the Will Robie series. I want to like the protagonists, but there's just too much angst and soul searching. Mr. Baldacci must be wealthy by now and he seems to have become bored with the writing process.

This was the worst Baldacci novel published so far. The plot was slow-moving and boring. The end was unbelievable. There were portions of the book that were just too exaggerated. Reel and Robie are Special Agents with awesome abilities, but this was over the top.

I'm a great fan of Baldacci. "Camel Club", " Memory Man" and other books he's written made me a great fan, but this one is full of gratuitous violence and implausible situations ... Really not up to the high standard expected from David Baldacci.

These characters are relentlessly interesting, and they become involved with strange settings—in this case, the middle of nowhere in the US west. And you have to think that the skinheads and neo-Nazis and the survivalists are not far-fetched, thought not as immune to the law as this depicts. My reservations about these books is that there are two chronic problems: First, the situations the main characters get into are simply implausible in terms of escapability (in one case the woman takes out an armored vehicle with a rifle, in another she and the man overcome people heavily armed with night vision equipment while they have only blank bullets). Second, when they are captured by the bad guys (here twice) they are somehow kept alive while others die and they are told the intricate details of the bad guys' plans! This is a transparent device to inform the reader of the plot advances. And it's simply weak. Baldacci's a better writer than having to turn to these weak devices.
