The best part of this book is that it will save you money - lots of it. I would recommend the book for those who are seriously considering filing a patent application or those already engaged in the process. The book deals with the concepts that are going to be important to individual inventors, small businesses or startups. These smaller entities are going to have to make a lot of consequential decisions along the way. Most of these decisions are going to made in conjunction with the advice of your attorney. He, or She, is going to have to first educate you before you can make an informed decision. By reading this book you will be better prepared for those discussions and more effectively interact with your attorney.

As an inventor and CEO of a start-up software company this book provided very clear and succinct information about the what and why of patents. It's definitely not a boring read as many books like this can get. Rather, the book is written in a conversational tone. I felt like Attorney Yang was speaking directly to me. The book was informative and had recommendations about what not to do and the pitfalls of an ill prepared patent application. These recommendations have already put me on a path to avoid legal headaches and protect our intellectual property. This book is highly recommended.

It clearly goes over everything you need to know to consider whether to patent or not. I first went to a patent lawyer before I read this book and was confused, frustrated, and lost. After reading this book, I felt like I knew what I wanted and how to accomplish it. I was able to talk to the lawyer in a direct and decisive way. This book helped me consider obstacles I never thought of and allowed me to make a wise decision with volition and intention.
